Bauerfeind’s CoxaTrain hip brace relieves pain and stabilizes the lumbar spine, pelvis and hip by combining multiple therapy principles into one brace. Those principles are stabilization, targeted massage and proprioceptive stimulation. The lateral hinge provides stabilizing guidance of the hip. CoxaTrain’s pelvic support with massage pads stabilizes the pelvis and relieves the sacroiliac (SI) joints while its gluteal and trochanter pads massage trigger points on the hip during movement to help prevent incorrect posture in the lumbosacral junction as a result of pain.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The CoxaTrain is a low-profile and lightweight hip brace that relieves pain while stabilizing the lumbar spine, pelvis and hip regions. It helps to support movement therapy for people with moderate to severe levels of hip imbalance, instability and osteoarthritis. It’s also ideal for use during the treatment of a total hip replacement.

Combines multiple therapy principles

Multiple therapy principles – such as stabilization, targeted massage and proprioceptive stimulation – are combined in the CoxaTrain to provide pain relief in the lumbar spine, pelvis and hip. It also targets the functional interplay of the core and hip muscles with circular compression while relieving pressure on the SI joints. In a study, people wearing the CoxaTrain reported an increase in mobility and a decrease in pain while walking.

Easily adjustable for a perfect fit

Because the CoxaTrain is a tool-free hip brace, it’s easily adjustable by a health care provider for customized treatment. The hinge controls the range of motion, allowing for flexion and extension limitations of 60°, 75° or 90°, and the thigh support is height adjustable to fit shorter- to longer-sized legs. The hip brace is easy to put on and remove due to its finger loops, Velcro fastening and adjustable tensioning straps.

All-day wearing comfort

Consisting of an elastic pelvic and thigh support, the CoxaTrain hip brace is made with a textured mesh knit that’s breathable, lightweight, low-profile and moisture-wicking to deliver all-day wearing comfort. Its height-adjustable hinge connects the pelvic and thigh support for a personalized fit. Additionally, the CoxaTrain can be worn underneath loose clothing or over tight clothing.
